I know some of you probably heard about the story of the little prince. I've read a short excerpt of this story on my highschool book, "GEMS" a ocmpilation of different poeams and stories. I went to Trinoma to buy the book but it's already sold out same ith the powerbooks. My Last resort is the National Bookstore in Sm Fairview, and Alas! It's available there. The book is about how adults overlook some essential things in life. This book really touched me. It talks aobut love and friendship. This is a childrens book that is intended for adults. here are some of the lines in the book that really taught me a lesson.

"People have stars, but they aren't the same. For travelers, the stars are guides. For other people, they're nothing but tiny lights. And for still others, for scholars, they're problems. For my businessman, they were gold. But all those stars are silent stars. You, though, you'll have stars like nobody else."

“Grown-ups love figures. When you tell them that you have made a new friend, they never ask you any questions about essential matters like what does his voice like? What games does he love best? Does he collect butterflies? Instead, they demand: how old is he? How much does he weigh? How much money does his father make?” Only from those figures do they think they have learned anything about your friend.”

"One sees clearly only with the heart. What's essential is invisible to the eyes."

...............................

like "Love" and "friendship" for example those things can't be seen but it's a necessity that everyone needs.

when we meet someone he is nothing more than a man who is just like other thousand men. and he has no need of you and you have no need of him. But once you "tamed" (establish ties) each other, you are able to know him better and your relationship gets more deeper. now, he's not just like an ordinary man like any other thousand men. He is uinque to you and you are unique to him. that's what we call "FRIENDSHIP" so when it's time to say goodbye, the heart is burdened with so much pain because of difficulty of letting go.

You Are Responsible for What You Have Tamed.
